About the Scheme

In 2013 the AONB Partnership initiated the Ambassador scheme as part of its 50th year anniversary celebrations.

The purpose of the scheme is to join together businesses, groups, organisations and individuals to help support, celebrate, promote and look after the East Devon AONB.

The scheme benefits the AONB and its Ambassador supporters by working to:

  • Share knowledge and provide advice
  • Encourage and facilitate collaboration
  • Promote awareness of the work we do and the work of others

Download our Ambassador leaflet for more information.

If you love East Devon as much as we do then why not join our scheme? Together we can help conserve the landscape, support local produce and keep the economy flourishing.

Ambassador Representitive

As part of the development of the Ambassador scheme, it has been agreed to co-opt an Ambassador representative onto the AONB Partnership,
to represent the Ambassadors as a group.

AONB Ambassador Derek Carter, from Sidford, has accepted the role and will attend AONB Partnership meetings on behalf of all Ambassadors starting this April. He will act as a conduit for all Ambassadors and assist in developing links between members of the Ambassador scheme and the AONB team and Partnership.

If Ambassadors have any messages or issues they wish the AONB to consider, they should contact Derek via email to aonbamb@gmail.com to discuss them and consider how best to progress them. Read Derek's Biography
