We are the AONB Partnership
AONB Management Plan
"The natural beauty of the East Devon AONB landscape, its dramatic World Heritage Site coastline, internationally important habitats and species and its cultural heritage, is conserved, managed and enhanced to support and benefit present and future generations."
This vision statement above is contained in and guides the delivery of the current East Devon AONB Management Strategy (2014-19). The Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 (The CROW Act) brought with it a statutory duty for all local authorities to produce Management Plans for Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty within their jurisdiction and to review them at least every five years.
The Management Strategy has now been reviewed and adopted by East Devon District Council and Devon County Council. Through core funding from Defra and the local authority partners the AONB Partnership and Team will work with our partners and communities for the next five year period to help conserve and enhance this outstanding environment.
