Local Produce

From the fertile river valleys to the Jurassic coastline, East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty supports its fair share of producers who provide an abundance of locally grown produce to suit all tastes.

From wineries to farmers' markets, restaurants to dairies and farm shops to food festivals - local and seasonal produce is readily available within the area.  Whether you are looking to enjoy a Devonshire Cream Tea with lashings of clotted cream, homemade ice-cream in the heat of the summer, locally caught fish after a visit to the coast or perhaps a sample of some local beverages in a cosy country pub, there are numerous ways in which you can source and try out our local produce.

About us

In England and Wales our finest landscapes have been conserved through designation as National Parks and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, AONBs.

The East Devon AONB was designated in 1963 and is one of 46 AONBs situated across the UK. The National Association for Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty provides general information about the AONBs.

The South West Protected Landscape Forum exists to provide a regional voice for the 14 protected landscapes, which together make up 38% of the South West of England.
