Volunteering opportunities exist across a number of conservation groups in our area, from Axminster to Exmouth there is a site that would benefit from your help. The main contacts include:
'Friends of Local Nature Reserves' and 'East Devon Wildlife Conservation Volunteer Network'- contact East Devon District Council Countryside Service 01395 517557 or visit their webpages . Currently the Watervole Recovery Project supported by SITA Trust, Sustainable Development Fund and Environment Agency also offers volunteering opportunities.
RSPB volunteer days every wednesday - contact the Aylesbeare Reserve Office 01395 233655 or visit their virtual reserve.
Devon Wildlife Trust Local Groups, like Exmouth organise fortnightly work parties at the Bystock Pools Reserve - contact either the Exmouth or East Devon Local Groups.
Axe Vale and District Conservation Society organise work parties on the Undercliffs National Nature Reserve as well as locally important reserves like Holyford Woods and the Colyton Community woodland. For details of work parties see our events pages or visit the conservation group website.
The Offwell Woodland Education Centre offers volunteering opportunities every wednesday at this popular little reserve. Contact Lucy Morton 01404 831881 or visit their website.
