East Devon AONB Management

Introduction

The East Devon AONB Team will co-ordinate the business of the Partnership and will work with partners and stakeholders to realise the targets identified in the Management Strategy Action Plan

In brief, the roles of the AONB team members are:

Communications Officer (Kimmo Evans) - principal contact for interpretation, communications and community initiatives across the 29 parishes of the East Devon AONB.
Pete Youngman -  © East Devon AONB Team AONB Project Officer (Pete Youngman) - co-ordination and delivery of AONB projects relating to land mangement, biodiversity and access. Lead for the 'Looking out for bats' initiative
 

 

Parishscapes Project Officer (Philippe Planell) - Parishscapes is a community and landscape project extending across all 29 parishes of the East Devon AONB. It aims to improve access to historical landscape information, through digitisation of tithe maps, and promote conservation or enhancement projects through community groups. It is a 3 year (2007-2010) HLF supported project.

 

 

 

Sustainable Development Fund Administrator (Claudia McDonald ) - Administrative support for delivery of the Sustainable Development Fund (a Defra grant provided to all AONBs through Natural England). The East Devon AONB team and activities are core-funded by Natural England (75%), Devon County Council (12.5%) and East Devon District Council (12.5%).
