Managing the Landscape
A Vision for East Devon AONB
"The natural beauty of the East Devon AONB landscape, its dramatic World Heritage Site coastline, internationally important habitats and species and its cultural heritage, is conserved, managed and enhanced to support and benefit present and future generations."
This vision statement above is contained in and guides the delivery of the current East Devon AONB Management Strategy (2009-14).
The Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 (The CROW Act) made it a statutory duty for all local authorities to produce Management Plans for Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty within their jurisdiction and to review them at least every five years.
