Walking Festival - Seaton to Lyme Regis 7 miles

Tuesday 26th September 10:30am

Walk 8. Seaton to Lyme Regis linear 7 miles

Start: 10:30am Seaton Jurassic, Underfleet, Seaton EX12 2WD; SY247901
End: approx 3:30pm Lyme Regis Museum, Bridge Street DT7 3QA; SY342920

This section of the South West Coast Path is unlike any other. The majority of this section passes through the famous National Nature Reserve of the Axmouth-Lyme Regis undercliff. This area has been undisturbed since the massive cliff fall of 1839, a wilderness area of virgin woodland and dense scrub with the sea hidden from view. Emerging on cliffs the path leads down to the Cobb and picturesque Lyme Regis. Spend some time in this bustling coastal town, visit the museum or Town Mill before catching the hourly bus back to Seaton.

This walk is part of Sidmouth and East Devon Walking Festival
