Walk 17. East Devon Way Stage 5, Woodbury Castle to Exmouth linear 7.5 miles

10am: Coach (£6) leaves Sidmouth sea front opposite Belmont Hotel, EX10 8RX
Start: 10:30am Woodbury Castle, B3180; SY031872
End: approx 3:30pm Exmouth, Rail Station, Royal Avenue, EX8 1EN; SX000811

Hop aboard the coach from Sidmouth to Woodbury Castle. On a clear day from Woodbury Castle there are far reaching views of the Exe estuary to the sea in Lyme Bay, Dartmoor, Exmoor and the Brendon and Quantock hills in Somerset. We walk through pleasant woodland at Lympstone Common and pass the intriguing A La Ronde National Trust property. The walk ends along the new Exe estuary trail, next to one of the biggest local nature reserves in Devon. Our 40 miles walk ends at Exmouth where our coach will be waiting to return us to Sidmouth.
