The return of the beavers

Beavers in the Otter River
You may have heard the news (June 2015) that the first colony of wild beavers to inhabit an English river for around 400 years has had babies (kits). England’s only breeding population of wild beavers are being allowed to remain in the wild on the River Otter after the announcement on 28 January by Natural England granting DWT a five-year monitoring licence.
